Simon Phipps
Simon helps charities like the Open Source Initiative (OSI) and AlmaLinux with their Open Source strategy, especially around governance, licensing and rights. Previously he ran one of the first Open Source Program Offices (at Sun Microsystems), helped establish the Java Technology Centre at IBM, worked on early video conferencing and word processing systems, set up X.25 and e-mail networks for Unisys, refactored OSI as its President (twice) and wrote widely in publications like InfoWorld and Linux Voice.
