Hardware Pick: DJI Osmo

Alex Lindsay's pick on MacBreak Weekly 493 is the DJI Osmo. This is a fully stabilized handheld 4K and 12MP camera. This is the same gimbal technology used in drones, but DJI has put it on a handle so it can be easily carried around. It has a 3-axis stabilization system that will cancel out your movements in three directions, meaning you'll get stable video as you move.

Osmo can be controlled using your thumb, and you can put your smartphone in the included Phone Holder to see what the Osmo sees. You can also use your smartphone to control the camera using the DJI Go app. This means you could mount the Osmo on a tripod or other available mounts and remotely control the camera.
