In part 3 of our streaming studio set up, we'll cover what you need to get up and running on streaming services like Youtube or Twitch.

SDI vs. HDMI        
* HDMI is great b/c of its ubiquity, but it has a few drawbacks:        
  1. HDMI can only go 30' before it needs an amp or repeater  - SDI can go 300 meters (1000')        
  2. HDMI has HDCP (High Definition Copy Protection) which can be a PITA        
  3. SDI has time-code support        
  4. SDI connectors can be locked (VERY IMPORTANT!)        
* Bottom line: HDMI was created by consumer electronics companies who wanted to make sure everything could connect to everything. HD-SDI was created by broadcasters to be the best way to transmit HD video.

1. Main Light: Slightly off-center, with not so much spread that it whites out the background        
2. Hair Light: Above and slightly behind the subject (on the side opposite that of the main light)        
3. Background Light: low and behind the subject        

Steps to setup!
1. Connect 4 HDMI inputs (Mixed resolutions are fine)
2. Connect Network
3. Connect Monitor
4. Power up
5. Configure WiFi (if that's the chosen network connection option)
6. Connect app
    * For desktop, get the IP address from the monitor (Press the white button at the front)
    * For mobile, run the app. (Must be connected to the same network)

Here's what we're going to demo!
1. HDMI connectivity (Explain resolution mixing)
2. Difference between wired and wireless network connectivity
    * Show the wireless setup screen on the laptop connected to HDMI 1
3. Show the app interface
4. Show the use of the mouse controls on the app interface
5. Show the creation of custom layouts
6. Show connecting the Audio

Streaming to YouTube    
1. Go to your YouTube page    
2. Click your username icon and choose "Creator Studio"    
3. Choose "Live Streaming" from the side menu    
4. Scroll down to "Encoder Setup" (You'll need this information to configure the Skreens Broadcast)    
    * Do not give this information to ANYBODY you don't trust! They can stream on YOUR channel!    
5. In a browser, navigate to your Skreens UI    
6. Click "Advanced Tools" In the upper right corner    
7. Click "Broadcast"    
8. In the "Stream to" drop down menu, choose "YouTube"    
9. Copy the "Server URL" and "Stream name/key" on your YouTube  "Encoder Setup" to the appropriate fields in your Skreens
