Video Editing With an iPad

Today we're going to show you how to edit video on an iPad.
Basics
Most video editors are built similarly. The top half of the screen is usually a preview window and your video assets. The bottom half of the screen is your timeline. Your timeline is where you'll put your video and audio clips to build your final video.
Getting video on the iPad
There are a number of ways to get video on an iPad. You can use the iPad as a camera. It shoots 5MP stills and takes 1080p video. However, it can be an unwieldy monster to use as a camera (and people will make fun of you).
If you use an iPhone, you can have photos and videos synced across devices using Apple's built-in Photostream. iOS 6 and lower doesn't sync video, but iOS 7 does. Alternatively, you can use a cloud service like Dropbox or Google Drive to get your video from your phone to your iPad.
Video editing apps
Vimeo is well-known as a YouTube alternative, but the Vimeo iOS app features a competent video editor. The app can be buggy, but it's free. It's hard to complain with free. To get an idea of how to edit on Vimeo, it's best to watch the episode as a description seems inadequate.
iMovie is Apple's iOS offering. Right now it costs a whopping $5, but the app will be free with new iDevices once iOS 7 hits. It's a more powerful editor than Vimeo. Once again, it makes more sense to watch the video than attempt to describe how to edit in the app (sorry).
