Time to Grind
On this week's episode, Chad takes you through the ins and outs of mob grinding.
News!
Dispensers and droppers will now only fire once when they receive a redstone signal. To fire again, the signal must be turned off and on again. (previously any time block gets updated). Reverted bugfix for clouds having transparency above, but not underneath due to performance drop since w04a. Slimes are rarer again.

Mob Grinding
Spawners: A monster spawner is only active when a player is within a radius of 16 blocks from the spawner. While the block is active, it will spawn mobs within an 8 × 3 × 8 block area.
Giant box: Must be as dark as possible, recommended to have water streams to move mobs into right place. (Uses natural spawning). Player must be more than 32+ blocks away
Pistons: Must be dark, player must be 32+ blocks away Can be used as fall trap. Really fast live-death cycle (slower to cap the mobcap).
