Autonomous Cars Need to Be Regulated
Megan Morrone talks to Sam Abuelsamid from the Wheel Bearings podcast about the state of self-driving car regulation. This week pedestrian Elaine Herzberg was killed after stepping into the path of a self-driving Uber. This is the first pedestrian death from a self-driving car and it won't be the last. First reports said the crash was unavoidable, but now that police have released the video of the interior and exterior of the car many are calling those first reports into question. Why didn't the LIDAR see the pedestrian on the bicycle?
