The Federal Communications Commission apparently intends to reclassify internet providers as "common carriers," the designation that provides maximum net neutrality in the United States and would legalize the practice of charging more for so called Internet "fast lanes," otherwise known as "paid prioritization." The FCC is scheduled to vote on the matter on February 26.
